Timotei (Romanian for Timothy) is one of seven children in the Neagu family. You might confuse him and his brother Samuel for twins because they look so alike.

Both of Timotei's parents come from poor backgrounds. His mother Mariana grew up in a poor rural area of Romania and never received even a basic education. It is nearly impossible for her to get a job now. Timotei's father Dan has worked as a missionary for a Christian organization most of his life, but recent cutbacks have left him with only a low paying part-time job and few prospects for well paying alternatives.

Timotei and his siblings depend on groceries from Hope for the Future to stay healthy and well nutritioned. He loves the outdoors and exploring in places he has never been to before.
